At Buitengoed de Boomgaard we love sharing beautiful experiences; not personal data. That is why we take good care of the information you share with us. We only collect what is necessary to make your stay and experience as smooth as possible and do not pass anything on to strangers.
That’s really all you need to know. We protect your data, we don’t sell it, and if you’d rather not receive messages from us, you can always unsubscribe. Simple, right?
But because we like clarity (and the law requires it), you can read below exactly how we handle your data.
What information do we ask for (and why)?
When you come to stay with us, we ask a few things of you:
• First and last name: so that we can address you personally
• Email address : for sending your booking confirmation and important information
• Phone number: in case we need to contact you quickly about your stay
• Composition of your group: so that we know for whom we are reserving a place
• License plate: useful for our parking lot
What do we do with it?
• We arrange your stay (logically!)
• We will help you if you have any questions
• We will send you a nice newsletter every now and then (if you want)
• We keep track of who stays at the campsite (this is required by law and we must keep data for 7 years)
Click behavior and visitor data
We track how our website is used. Not to track you personally (we have better things to do ; )), but to understand what works well and what could be improved. We use Google Analytics for this. Your IP address is anonymized, so don't worry: we don't know what you ate yesterday.
Cookies
Not the edible kind (although we have those too), but digital cookies. They ensure that the website works properly and that we know if you have been there before.
• Functional cookies – These ensure that everything runs smoothly. Think of remembering your preferences.
• Analytical cookies – Help us see which pages are popular and which ones need an overhaul.
• Marketing cookies – These are used by Google and social media platforms to show relevant advertisements.

Social Media
If you follow us on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn, we can see who you are and what you like. We don't do anything crazy with that, except inspire you with beautiful outdoor spots and cozy updates.
Links to other websites
Our website shows a number of links to websites. If you click on them, the website of that party will be opened. As soon as you are on the website of that party, the privacy policy of that party applies.
Access control
At the entrance to our site there is a barrier that ensures that only our guests can enter. For your safety and that of others, the camera takes a picture of your license plate to check whether you have access. As soon as the barrier opens, the picture is immediately deleted.
Wifi network
During your stay, you can use our WiFi network free of charge. To ensure that this runs smoothly and safely, technical data is automatically collected, such as the identification number (MAC address) of your device. This helps us to resolve malfunctions and prevent abuse. The data is deleted after one year. In the event of illegal use of our network, we can temporarily block access.
